Hi I am having trouble starting Shorewall6 on Ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10 server. The server currently has Shorewall4 and Shorewall6 4.4.17 installed from the tarball. Shorewall4 starts fine and works as intended. However when I type shorewall6 check (or start) I get the following error: Checking policy actions... Checking /usr/share/shorewall6/action.Reject for chain Reject... ERROR: Unknown ACTION (Auth(REJECT)) : /usr/share/shorewall6/action.Reject (line 21) I have checked this particular file with a friend who runs a different version and it is identical as far as we can see. It should be: CONFIG_PATH=/etc/shorewall6:/usr/share/shorewall6:/usr/share/shorewall/ -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ When I die, I want to go like my Grandfather who Shoreline, \ died peacefully in his sleep. Tom, That was it! Many thanks. What I do not understand is why it was incorrect when all I had done was the following steps: Untar shorewall-4.4.17 Run install.sh from the source dir Untar shorewall6-4.4.17 Run the install.sh from the source dir Configure the files. Once again, thanks. What value was in CONFIG_PATH before you changed it? -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ When I die, I want to go like my Grandfather who Shoreline, \ died peacefully in his sleep.
