Shorewall users - Feb 2009 - /etc/shorewall/hosts and line continuation

Shorewall 4.0.

Consider a line in the /etc/shorewall/hosts file:

 	foo	eth0:ip1,ip2,....

with or without line continuation. What is the maximum length of the line? 
I might want to have a large number of IP addresses listed. Is it possible 
to write it as multiple lines:

 	foo	eth0:ip1,ip2
 	foo	eth0:ip3,ip4

and so on?

Shorewall defines no maximum length.

Certainly. But if you have that many host entries, you should consider
using an ipset to define the zone. It''s an order of magnitude more
efficient.
