Hi, I have a problem with connecting to a host in our local network. I can ping any host in this local network, except for one host (which is an older SuSE 8.2 linux box). When I stop shorewall, I can ping this host. I can ping the shorewall-box from this host, even when shorewall is started. There is a policy active which should allow this connection. There is no entry in the log which indicates that the request is dropped by shorewall. So: Ping from shorewall-server (192.168.100.4) to the host (192.168.100.16) fails when shorewall is started Ping from shorewall-server (192.168.100.4) to the host (192.168.100.16) works when shorewall is stopped Ping from the host (192.168.100.16) to the shorewall-server works. Ping from the shorewall-server to any other (windows) host works So it has something to do with shorewall, but I haven''t got a clue to what the problem could be. Anybody seen this before? Regards, Marten Verhoeven P.S. I attached the dump from shorewall to this mail ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
