I''m unable to get shorewall working with 2.6.22. (OS is gentoo. I already tried the gentoo list...). Shorewall was working with 2.6.20. I recycled the former config file when upgrading the kernel. I also recompiled iptables (although I don''t understand the purpose). I have version 1.3.5 (the current stable version in gentoo). First I had a problem with ipt_LOG, but I just unselected the corresponding entry in the config, since I use ULOG. The remaining problem is related to "accounting". Any know issues with 2.6.22? Which version of shorewall do you use? The latest one? If not, just upgrade, lots of things changed in the network management in 2.6.21... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. The latest unstable is 3.4.5. I see that the current stable is 4.0.2, which didn''t make its way to gentoo yet, not even as "unstable". Maybe I should give up installing shorewall through portage and do it by hand... If so, you should file a bug in whatever system Gentoo uses and kindly ask them that if they are going to make new kernel versions available, they should make new shorewall versions available as well.
