The recent storms and their aftermath have finally done us in. I can''t continue to try to support Shorewall under these circumstances. Please don''t send any email directly to me. I don''t need the additional task of responding to your emails of support and I can''t answer individual support requests. The situation here at the moment is as follows: - the shorewall.net systems hosted in our home are totally down - I''ve hacked together a configuration that allows me to have VPN access to HP and allows us to email through our ISP and to access the internet. - I''ve ordered a new MOBO/CPU for our firewall/server but I don''t have an ETA yet. - We are continuing to experience periodic electrical power failures and another strong storm is forecast for tomorrow - We are expecting a houseful of company this weekend for Christmas; once those people arrive, they take priority over Shorewall. Please try to help each other until I can get our situation under control here. I am truly and thoroughly impressed that Tom has done as much as he already has. I can honestly say I would likely not have been able to continue in the face of probably half of what he has faced in the last few weeks. Thanks for your extreme dedication Tom. This might be a good time to take Tom''s suggestion: Shorewall is free but if you try it and find it useful, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer''s Association or to the Starlight Children''s Foundation. - Bob Coffman ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
