Hello,
I am testing these rules for routing and shaping traffic for
voip. I have two vodavi cards in a key system that send voip
over openvpn. I am confused with high marks. And I hope
I am on the right track. Only one card is active now
10.19.227.18 sends voip traffic to two of the openvpns
lavpn and sovpn.
Just wondered if someone could take a look and see if
I am on the right track with the way tc is set up here
Thanks
Mike

Thanks Tom,
I have read everything, on shorewall.net over and over.
As well as the links, to larc and such. when I read the larc
advanced tc. I can grasp whats going on but it goes to ram
in my nogin. Still a bit confused with borrowing and
how sfq vz htb works together sfq.
My network is setup with this as well. I been working
and testing this since the first of Oct, The voice over
ip works slick and sounds good on the config I sent.
I had 5 voip,s going on at once. Its setup to have
extension''s in different citys. Like ext:2106.
What I was confused about is I don''t seem to
know how since in my config voip is highest
priority. Everything marked with one "1" shows
"0" in traffic counters on shorewall dump
or shorewall show tc. I am assuming if the interface
is busy this will happen, because this reminds me of
programming cpu''s with the stack in the old days
such as a stack of plates in a resturant first in last out.
Even htb que''s the the first classes in line right?
I think I will make test firewall and use iptables
from the advanced examples some day. I used to program in machine
language in the lower 80,s. So I understand binarys.
This is cool what linux does with Tc.
Thank you again,
Mike
Merry Christmas
