Hi, I'm reading the shorewall's documentation about "shorewall and multiple internet connections". I have a computer with 3 dsl lines. I only have one interface in order to connect with the dls. I have tried this <verbatim> ADSL1 1 1 main eth1 10.6.0.10 track, balance eth0 ADSL2 2 2 main eth1 10.6.0.11 track, balance eth0 ADSL3 3 3 main eth1 10.6.0.12 track, balance eth0 </verbatim> and <verbatim> ADSL1 1 1 main eth1 10.6.0.10,10.6.0.11,10.6.0.12 track, balance eth0 </verbatim> and doesn't work. Hi, this is one of my first attempts to help someone like I was helped. I tried this to and DONT WORK. It hassomething to do with marking the packager by the interface they arrive not the ip address. My solution was : - put more ethernets on your firewall or - create VLANs and a switch capable of it. ( I use this one) Christian IT Manager Polibras www.polibrasnet.com.br ----- Original Message ----- From: "Israel Santana Alemán" <isantana@inerza.com> To: <shorewall-users@lists.sourceforge.net> Sent: Wednesday, August 02, 2006 05:17 Subject: [Shorewall-users] Multi ISP over one interface> Hi, > > I'm reading the shorewall's documentation about "shorewall and multiple > internet connections". >> - create VLANs and a switch capable of it. ( I use this one) > I can create vlan with the switchs, but I don''t understand this option, > can you explain or put some examples.Ok, here what you need - create 3 VLAN (one to each DSL line), each VLAN have 2 physical ports, 1 untagged to connect to a DSL modem, 1 tagged to connect to your firewall. The second physical port of every VLAN is the same so actualy you will be using a total of 4 physical ports. Note when creating the VLANs they are numbered throw 1 to 1023, pay attetion some switchs consider VLAN 1 the special, so I suggest you begin with VLAN 2 - on your firewall you''ll check for ''8021q'' linux kernel module (since I don''t know your distribution I would also check it''s documentation for setup) and if it''s loaded. - setup the same port on your firewall with 3 VLAN ex.: eth0.2 eth0.3 eth0.4 - now you can proceed with you Multi-ISP setup. Please anyone else whom remember something, add it ''cause I finish and have alot of work.
