Hello,
I am using a Linksys WRT54GS 1.1 router with OpenWrt RC4 and kernel
2.4.30. My ADSL-Provider allows me to establish more than one
PPPoE-Session at a time.
ppp0 Link encap:Point-Point Protocol
inet addr:85.xxx.16.23 P-t-P:85.xxx.16.254
Mask:255.255.255.255
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1492 Metric:1
ppp1 Link encap:Point-Point Protocol
inet addr:85.xxx.17.93 P-t-P:85.xxx.17.254
Mask:255.255.255.255
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1492 Metric:1
ppp2 Link encap:Point-Point Protocol
inet addr:85.xxx.17.122 P-t-P:85.xxx.17.254
Mask:255.255.255.255
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1492 Metric:1
Since I am using a VoIP ATA and since VoIP and NAT together are
sometimes causing problems, I thought of maybe circumventing the trouble
by assigning an official IP to my VoIP ATA.
But how can I make ppp1''s IP be used by my ATA without using NAT?
I know a Siemens Modem-Router that assigns the official IP to one client
by DHCP. But I don''t know how it does this internally.
Can this be done with linux? At a first step, I want to be able to set
up this without shorewall in order to understand it. Using shorewall
would be the second step.
regards, claas
