I''m trying to set up a Shorewall firewall with traffic shaping on it. Everything is working fine, but I find myself needing RED (Random Early Detection) and/or GRED (Gentle RED) qdiscs. I have read http://www.shorewall.net/traffic_shaping.htm, which makes no mention of these qdiscs. Is it possible to use RED within Shorewall, or will I need to use external traffic control rules?
