The version I am using is RedHat 7.2, I know it is old but it has done well for me as far as a firewall is concerned. I really had no reason to upgrade until this time. This machine has been working since 1996 and since all I use it for is a firewall I did not feel the need to upgrade. I take it that version 3.x needs to have a more update kernel than what I have installed. But PLEASE upgrade -- How can you believe that you can keep running the same ancient distro and expect Shorewall to work? Do you think that I have 100 extra machines here so that I can run ancient distributions like RH 7.2 just so YOU don''t have to keep up with the rest of the world? Isn''t going to happen... -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net PGP Public Key \ https://lists.shorewall.net/teastep.pgp.key

Please upgrade, for your own security, and Tom''s sanity. :-) Paul ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the JBoss Inc.
