Hi, I upgraded my bridge/firewall from 2.2.4 ->2.4.4 and the the kernel (vanilla) from 2.6.11 -> 2.6.13. I don`t use modules, everything i need is compiled in the kernel. I have a /29 block In the old situation, 2.2.4 + 2.6.11, i could connect the client with a UTP cable without a switch. It didn`t matter if there was a switch between the client and the bridge. Now, after the upgrade and using the same UTP cable i have to use the switch.
