Multiple config files...
I have a laptop I use at multiple access points, so I use
WPA_supplicant to manage the WEP and WPA keys.
I have multiple wpa_supplicant.conf files with descriptive names like
wpahome. I threw this: "ifup ath0 & wpa_supplicant -D madwifi
-c /etc/wpa_home.conf -i ath0 -d" into an executable file named wpahome
in my path.
So, I boot up the laptop, and type "wpahome" and my wifi card comes up
configured with my home WPA-PSK. This lets me very easily pick a
"profile" and connect to a wireless network.
What makes this possible is that I can tell WPA_supplicant
where to look for its config file, so I can have as many as I want, so
long as they have different names.
Would this be possible with shorewall? If it could pull its config file
from multiple places (like wpa_supplicant''s -c switch) I could add
custom firewall rules per location. That would rock. :-)
If anyone knows whether or not this can be done please let me know.
