a general
question.

| Are there any real benefits to upgrading if v1.4 does what I want ?

| I''m not a fan of bleeding-edge in production and I don''t go
for "v2
must be better than v1 because it''s newer"

| Tom, if you have a few minutes, what''s new in 2.0 that I
don''t get in
1.4.1

Graham,
I suggest that you go to http://shorewall.net/News.htm and read the
release highlights for the intervening releases. Also check out the home
page for the 2.0.3-2.0.7 highlights.
Features that come immediately to mind are:
a) User-defined actions.
b) Bridging
c) Fast-restart (integration with iptables-save/-restore).
And I don''t consider 2.0 to be bleeding edge - the 2.1 series is for
bleeding-edge enthusiasts.
