Shorewall users - Jun 2004 - ADSL encapsulation LLC and VC MUX

Hi, firstly I''d apologize if this issue does not directly involve
shorewall.

I usually install shorewall with ADLS LLC encaps. Recently our office
got a new ADSL connection with VC MUX encaps. Got a block of IPs range
(6 usable). The thing is the first usable IP is located at the ISP side,
the second usable IP is assigned to the router/modem.

Q: What''s the difference between LLC and VC Mux? Anyone knows good mild
intro reference on those subjects?

Eventually the plan would be having a router (DLINK DSL 500) as bridge
and have shorewall to protect the network (love the masterpiece, Tom).
