Hello List: I just downloaded & installed shorewall-2.0.1-1.noarch.rpm. While downloading the software, I noticed that there is a patch 2.0.1. Does shorewall-2.0.1-1.noarch.rpm include the patch or I need to install it? Kirti

This patch file can be used, to upgrade from the previous latest version without having to download and install a full package. karsten -- Davision - Atelier fuer Gestaltung / Internet / Multimedia UNIX / Linux Netzwerke und Schulungen Telefon 06151/17865 Fax 06151/178659

Patched versions have names such as shorewall-2.0.1a-1, shorewall-2.0.1b-1, etc. and the Errata page (http://shorewall.net/errata.htm) will mention which problems are corrected in which patched updates. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net

I don''t release patch files but rather release patched components through the Errata page as I described on my prior post. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net

For 2.0.1: [root@lists SPECS]# ls /var/ftp/pub/shorewall/errata/2.0.1/ bogons firewall init.debian.sh [root@lists SPECS]# So the shorewall-2.0.1-1.noarch.rpm does *not* contain the updated ''bogons'' file or ''firewall'' script. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net
