Shorewall users - Apr 2004 - MTU problems with pptpd

Hi Guys,

i''ve installed shorewall with poptop and i have problems, i think, with
mtu
during pptp connection.
I''m connecting through internet with my ISP with a 56k connection and i
connect to my corporate firewall.
If i ping all goes ok but i have problem for instance with http connection 
(i see only links and i don''t see images).
I''ve tried to low down /etc/ppp/option to "mtu 900" but
nothin changes...

I''ve setted also Clamp MTU in shorewall.conf but doesn''t
help...

Any ideas?

I''ll bet if you asked the membership of this list to diagram the setup 
described in that sentence, you would get at least 100 different 
pictures. It''s unclear to me where poptop is running. Is it on your 
"corporate firewall"? If not then how does poptop relate to the 
"corporate firewall" and the client system?

Your 56k connection probably has an MTU much lower than that -- have you 
looked at it?

Until I understand the setup, I''m afraid I can''t say any more.
