Ow,
I don''t know if my TC configuration will help, but I have put my
tcrules/tcstart files on-line at www.infohiiway.com/tc_stuff
My requirements for implementing TC were based on:
1) Allowing loc->net traffic to be usable while downloads were occuring from
my shorewall mirror site (which is in my DMZ zone).
2) Give priority to ssh traffic so I can remotely administor my systems
while I''m at work.
Note: I implemented this a couple of years ago, so I don''t have any
current
test data. Back when I set this up, my goal was to simply limit outbound
traffic (dmz->net) to 90% of my DSL upload speed. The remaining 10% seemed
to work fine for ACK loc->net traffic.
Also note -- I have no idea what happens to shorewall download speeds when
I''m downloading something like a Redhat ISO image. So my configuration
may
not work for your requirements. Fortunately, I don''t download ISO
images
very often.
Good Luck
