Shorewall users - Mar 2004 - Enabling ftp services behind firewall

I have shorewall running on a redhat9 box with 2 network cards. No DMZ zone.

My ftp server (wu-ftp) was running fine in one of the internal servers RedHat
7.3.

Now, I was asked to enable access to this service from the Internet.

My question is:

What is the recommended, secure  and easy way to do this? Where to find
information or examples on this topic?

Within this link you will see how to setup DNAT for FTP specifically 
referencing pointers that are for wu-ftp.
