pls check the attachement , All authorized cable modems can be access either Internet ot TV. if some one accessing internet, he will be getting ip from the dhcp server''s internet pool and if some one access TV, he will be getting ip from the TV ip pool. all other unauthorized access must be restricted , according to the pic = x ( Red Color ) thank u , ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Eastep" <teastep@shorewall.net> To: "curlybraces" <curlybraces@dialogsl.net>; "Mailing List for Experienced Shorewall Users" <shorewall-users@lists.shorewall.net> Sent: Saturday, December 27, 2003 9:36 AM Subject: Re: [Shorewall-users] firewall for cable modem setup> On Sat, 27 Dec 2003, curlybraces wrote: > > > Dear Friends , > > > > I have a DHCP server and configured two different networks in thedhcpd.conf file. i tested that it works well .so now my requrement is implement this dhcp server for the cable modem setup . it has two paths .if a clients try to access internet using cable modem they will take a seprate ip from the dhcp server''s that certain pool and also if some one try access Cable TV using the cable modem they will another ip from the other ip pool.I tested that it works well. so now i have facing for a big problem , that is security .
