[Shorewall-users] Sanity, Manners and Shorewall Support
I''d also like to add my 2 cents regarding ''rude answers'' and support. Sure, I''ve received answers with a bit of bite in them a couple of times, but I always find myself realizing I deserved it, AND the answers have always been helpful. A lot of times, as a not-so-experienced Linux guy, I find myself panicking over problems and forgetting many basic troubleshooting rules. So I end up screaming help and providing poor background info. I try to read through all the docs, but sometimes I''m too desperate and sometimes I don''t have enough knowledge. I like to think of Tom as the strict but helpful teacher. :-) Bottom line though, for me, is that I''ve worked with tons of software sporting hefty price tags, and yet the support is non existing. None of us have made Tom rich, and yet we get great support FAST!! I''ve always been amazed at how he can keep it up, so if he gets frustrated and forgets his manners every now and then, I certainly understand. ?rjan
