Hello, If I ping a pc name on my lan it gives the correct IP of the pc assigned by NAT. When i sendmail to hotmail.com and from hotmail.com back to my mail server there is no problem, but if i try and sendmail internally to the mailserver it cant find the mail server. I am also using NAT to assign the static IPs. linux box 10.10.1.3 is assigned 213.94.193.89 - firewall gateway linux box 10.10.1.7 is assigned 213.94.193.94 - MAIL SERVER. If I do a sendmail to an email address on the mail server it doesnt get there. Internally everything seems to be going back to 213.94.193.89 even if a different IP is specified. Thank you. P. You surely aren''t using STATIC NAT on your firewall''s primary external IP address are you? -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Shorewall - iptables made easy Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net

The pc''s on the LAN have there own internal ips eg. > 10.10.1.5And they have their own external IPs that are different from the firewall''s IP, correct?
