[Shorewall-users] Ports for video/audio streaming vers. P2P eMule etc.
Hi folks, we do need access from our local network to mediastreamingservers (audio/video Rela, Quicktime,..) on the internet. In the past I configured shorewall to drop/reject all unallowed traffic from the local net (I allowed http(s), smtp, ftp and some more). With that configuration a lot off streaming servers haven''t been reachable for us (has anyone tried to find out, which ports are needed :-) ), so I opend all ports :-| Now some students start P2P like eMule, kazzaa tools again @-) and I have to try to block tham. My Question: dose anybody has a working "reject all accept real, quicktime,...-ports"-configuration or the other way roud: which ports should I block to stop kazaa etc. (I know I can find the prots by googling arround, but may be someone has got an collection of the most famous :-) ) Thanks! cu... ...G?tz Reinicke -- G?tz Reinicke IT Koordinator - IT OfficeNet Tel. +49 (0) 7141 - 969 420 Fax +49 (0) 7141 - 969 55 420 goetz.reinicke@filmakademie.de Filmakademie Baden-W?Hrttemberg Mathildenstr. 20 71638 Ludwigsburg www.filmakademie.de
