dear people from shorewall, I have a problem with the
shorewall included on mandrake 9.1 that I have been
working with, the situation is this: I have a cable
isp which assigns me a dinamic ip address like
10.10.143.129 to my eth0 nic, and I have set the
following ip address 192.168.1.1 to my eth1 nic whick
is connected to my lan, both nics are working well on
my mandrake 9.1 server. in order to have my website
online, I have bought a subdomain in www.tzo.com and
they have assigned to me the www.rutags.tzo.com
subdomain (rutags is my site) and with this software I
can have a real ip address like 148.244.205.244. some
of my workstations have a static ip like 192.168.1.2
and some receive via dhcp from my linux server a
dinamic ip address like 192.168.1.250, all of them are
allowed to connect any website like shorewall.net
without problems except to my own website. if somebody
on internet tries to reach my website through
www.rutags.tzo.com it is possible to do that, but from
my internal lan I have to use 192.168.1.1 to see it.
could you please help me telling me if there is some
configuration that i need in the rules file or in
other place, i''m really desperated because i have
tried the newest shorewall file and I have tried to
create some rules too without results, right now I
have the default shorewall file included with mandrake
9.1.
thank you very much for your attention and for your
help.
