Hello, I have installed shorewall on my home workstation. (RedHat 8.0) For my internet connection I use a dsl modem connected to eth0, configured as ppp0 (PPPOE). I get my ip address dynamically from my ISP. Which device must be specified in the interface file: eth0 or ppp0 Is it suitable to start shorewall at bootup or when I actually connect to the internet (through ip-up.local)? Any help is appreciated. Wolfgang -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... And please, read the QuickStart Guide on shorewall.net, as it describes everything needed really good. You will want especially the one- or two-interface guide. karsten -- Hi, I''m a signature virus.
