Yes.

All major distributions include ''iproute'' although not all of
them install
it by default. Leaf includes iproute and doesn''t include ifconfig.

As root, at the shell prompt type "which ip" -- if you get an error,
you
will need to install the iproute package.

Also, I would think that the majority of Shorewall users will have iproute 
installed already. The 1.3.* sample configurations require it and since the 
days of Shorewall 1.0.0, it has been required to use many of
Shorewall''s
features.
