I''m using shorewall to protect my small SoHo network at home from danger through our ADSL link to the net. Wonderful s''ware: thanks Tom. Now I need to add netmeeting or something like that to allow me to video and audio link to a colleague. I''ve searched the archives and answer seems to be to create a VPN tunnel (?) between my M$ machine inside the firewall and my colleague''s machine at her end of her ADSL link with NetMeeting running through the VPN. I run Win2k on my machine (prefer linux but can''t yet) and she runs WinXP. Can someone point me to a Shorewall compatible introduction to VPNs so I can start to think my way through this? Has anyone done this who is willing to share advice and rules etc., on or off the list? The Shorewall configuration is described in http://www.shorewall.net/PPTP.htm#ServerBehind. Note that your Win2k system must act as the PPTP server since MS removed that capability from WinXP. I realize the above isn''t a HOWTO but it''s the best I can do in a few minutes -- sorry. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Shorewall - iptables made easy AIM: tmeastep \ http://www.shorewall.net ICQ: #60745924 \ teastep@shorewall.net
