Hi all I am having problems stopping Shorewall''s log entries from showing up on the console on my Mandrake 8.2 FW. I am relatively new to the Linux arena and am struggling to make head or tail of the Man pages as mentioned in the FAQ. This is by far the simplest FW package I have had the pleasure of implementing, and believe I have tried many. TIA Kim

My Mandrake first installation CD is hopelessly damaged and I don''t have Mandrake installed anywhere. I suspect that Mandrake is similar to RedHat (given that it started out AS RedHat) but one can''t count on that. The console log level should be set somewhere in /etc/ at any rate. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Shorewall - iptables made easy AIM: tmeastep \ http://www.shorewall.net ICQ: #60745924 \ teastep@shorewall.net
