[Shorewall-users] giving up on "/var/lib/shorewall/lock"
Hello, Just tried to restart shorewall: # shorewall -c shorewall.dsl restart Processing shorewall.dsl/shorewall.conf ... Processing shorewall.dsl/params ... lockfile: Sorry, giving up on "/var/lib/shorewall/lock" Shorewall version 1.3.4. PC was rebooted some time ago (power outage probably). /var/lib/shorewall/lock contains "0". Regards, Nerijus

If you know for sure that shorewall is not active then simply delete the lockfile and try again. I had this same problem when I aborted shorewall once during its startup. If you are sure that the state of shorewall is stable (no [re]start, stop, reload, etc. in progress) then the lock file may be removed. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Shorewall - iptables made easy AIM: tmeastep \ http://www.shorewall.net ICQ: #60745924 \ teastep@shorewall.net

Or check with ps that no another shorewall is running and restart then? Regards, Nerijus
