Shorewall users - Mar 2002 - Help: Newbie question about Samba and Shorewall

Hi there!

I just installed shorewall in a little machine that we have connected to
the web. Everything went great, configuration is fine, but I still have a
problem, I don´t know how to put the necessary rules to make samba PDC,
which is installed on that same computer, communicate with the other
computers. I have read the shorewall documentation and the FAQ but I´m lost.

I read samba uses ports 137,138,139 and 445 (I also read it might use port
88 for kerberos stuff), so this is what I put in shorewall/rules:

ACCEPT          loc     $FW             tcp     88,137,138,139,445
ACCEPT          loc     $FW             udp     88,137,138,139

our machines with windows me are unable to check users against the samba
server.

any help is greatly appreciated.
