package shorewall forwarded 430653 shorewall-devel@lists.sourceforge.net thanks On Wed, Jun 27, 2007 at 08:20:34AM +1000, Paul Gear wrote:> Another one from the Debian BTS - good to see a few folks getting into > Shorewall on Debian! :-) >Just an FYI, it is usually helpful to the Debian package maintainer (and also to other potential bug submitters) to tag bugs when they get forwarded upstream. This can be done using a stanza like the one above, where the number after "forwarded" is the Debian bug number. The message must be mailed to control@bugs.debian.org (I have already sent it there by putting the address in the bcc line, so that replies to this message won''t accidentally be sent to the Debian BTS). Normally this is done by the package maintainer. However, if you are not the package maintainer and bring the bug to the attention of theupstream developer, it is probably a good thing to tag the bug as such. Regards, -Roberto -- Roberto C.
