Taso Hatzi''s post this evening has brought it home to me that I need to get out of the business of supporting the legacy Shorewall shell-based compiler. The "bug" (which it isn''t) that Taso reported has been remedied in Shorewall-perl and I have neither the time nor the energy to packport the change to Shorewall 3.4 (let alone Shorewall 3.9 Shorewall-shell). So I''m looking for someone who is interested in maintaining the legacy compiler and libraries. It won''t be a glamorous job but I''ll try to make it easier by vetting the problem reports and by offering my advise about how to go about fixing problems. So if you are interested, please send me a note off-list and we can discuss what is involved.
