[Secure-testing-team] Bug#659839: aide-common: aide Never finds errors in the file system.
Package: aide-common Version: 0.15.1-5 Severity: normal Tags: security I have installed aide-common on my desktop and Virtual Box servers running debian stable. I had it installed on an older system, but when it was replaced with this new one, it appears to work a bit to well. It never indicates any changes. I have tried to ?touch /bin/date? followed by aide.wrapper -C and each time it returns AIDE, version 0.15.1 ### All files match AIDE database. Looks okay! I have added files and moved files but on five different platforms, (4 Virtual 1 Physical) I have never received an error. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, ''testing'') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/6 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages aide-common depends on: ii aide [aide-binary] 0.15.1-5 ii bsd-mailx [mailx] 8.1.2-0.20111106cvs-1 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.41 ii initscripts 2.88dsf-22 ii liblockfile1 1.09-3 ii ucf 3.0025+nmu2 Versions of packages aide-common recommends: ii cron 3.0pl1-121 aide-common suggests no packages. -- debconf information: aide/aideinit: false aideinit/copynew: false aideinit/overwritenew: true aide/newlibdir: false
