[Secure-testing-team] Bug#649779: Random applets fail to load ( “The panel encountered a problem while =?UTF-8?Q?loading...=E2=80=9D?=)
Package: libpanel-applet-4-0 Version: 3.2.1-1 Severity: normal Tags: patch upstream -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 hi, libpanel-applet uses dbus slighly wrong, causing a race condition between the panel object appearing on the dbus and it providing the interface expected by the panel. The effect is that random applets fail to load. I have provided upstream with a patch at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=654843#c9 but it seems that they are not the quickest at applying patches against fallback components, so I?d appreciated if the patch would make it into the next Debian upload, if it has not been applied until then. [Secure-testing-team] Security, ignore: Random applets fail to load
Dear security teams, please ignore this bug report (#649779), it is not security related, I selected the tag by accident in reportbug and fixed the mistake in the editor, but that did not prevent reportbug from CCing you. Greetings, Joachim Am Mittwoch, den 23.11.2011, 22:56 +0100 schrieb Joachim Breitner:> Package: libpanel-applet-4-0 > Version: 3.2.1-1 > Severity: normal > Tags: patch upstream > > hi, > > libpanel-applet uses dbus slighly wrong, causing a race condition > between the panel object appearing on the dbus and it providing the > interface expected by the panel.
