I just noticed that pcmanfm was embedding a copy of exo in its source.

Thanks, added to the list. Note that you mixed the source 
package and embedding source package in your patch, the 
format is:
<srcpkg> (<optional comment about srcpkg>)
        - <embedding srcpkg> <status> (<sort>; bug
#<number>)
        NOTE: optional comments about the linkage of the embedding srcpkg

Oups, sorry. By the way, pcmanfm includes code from thunar too, but
looking at the source files, it''s seems more like a fork. They
cherry-picked some stuff they needed, that''s all.

Ok, after some talk with pcmanfm maintainer which investigated on this,
it seems that the exo included in pcmanfm is not the original one, but a
slighly modified copy (as libthunar-vfs).
