Hi all, In the interests of transparancy, I thought I should send something to the list about recent removals I did from the project. I went through the alioth project and removed all members who had not committed anything in more than half a year (there were several who had never committed). Let me be clear that this is not personal, and if you have contributed in the past thank you -- we''d love to have you back any time you want to return. There are a few people that the team works with on IRC still, but those people don''t commit to the repository, so I wouldn''t exactly consider them inactive. removed user tedp-guest removed user zobel removed user mpitt removed user luk removed user enerv-guest removed user benh removed user dom-guest removed user jamie-guest removed user frolic-guest removed user madduck removed user lamont removed user aba Also, the following people were recently added: Added User alfie Added User fujitsu-guest Micah -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Which makes sense here?If I remember correctly he was added like 2 month ago and has not committed anything until now. I think the best way would be to just readd him if he really needs the rights. But I personally also don''t have anything against adding him again right now if you give your word that this won''t become another dead item in the list :) Kind regards Nico -- Nico Golde - http://www.ngolde.de - nion at jabber.ccc.de - GPG: 0x73647CFF For security reasons, all text in this mail is double-rot13 encrypted. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Which makes sense here?yep, i should have mentioned in the email that I''m happy to add anyone back, and there could have been mistakes the last thing I wanted to do when removing people was to cut off potential committers. we''ve added jamie-guest back in, micah -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... My last commit to SVN was 10-02-2007, just fixing some NFU''s. So, if the rule is anything in more that half a year, I''m a exception. But in fact, my contributions was very smaller and with big lacks of time.> Let me be clear that this is not personal, and if you have contributed > in the past thank you -- we''d love to have you back any time you want to > return. No problems. :) I don''t contribute more because I don''t know why. I had a conversation on IRC about this, a month ago, I think. I still wanting to work with this team. If I need be more active to get my SVN account again, no problems. The best start is reading the narrative_introduction and then looking at Todo or unfixed items in the CVE/list. By this checking unstable issues at the first place is a good start. If you do this for some time and become comfortable with the system have a look at: http://security-tracker.debian.net/tracker/status/dtsa-candidates for items that could need a fix in testing and start preparing an update. Basically all that is needed can be found in doc/> Is there a mentoring program to help-me get more involved? > (and maybe answer some newbie/nonsense question) :)Feel free to ask any remaining question on this list or in IRC.
