Hai Rowland,
I think you are mixing a few settings.
http://www.zytrax.com/books/dns/ch7/queries.html#additional-from-auth
additional-from-auth yes | no ;
additional-from-cache yes | no ;
And
www.zytrax.com/books/dns/ch7/queries.html#auth-nxdomain

If auth-nxdomain is 'yes' allows the server to answer authoritatively (the

Sorry, I am used to the way NEC documents their PBXs and this is what
they call it. The Zytrax website documents it like this:
Pin: Signal:
1 Rx1
2 Rx2
4 Tx1
5 Tx2
(http://www.zytrax.com/tech/layer_1/cables/tech_rs232.htm - bottom of

So my question about a "real" T1 cable isn't specifically about a
crossover cable, although the principle will still apply. I was talking...

Regular expressions in R
...n*product')
I would like to remove the following target strings, either:
1. '+ Intro * LEGAL' which is '+ space name space * space name'
2. '+Intro*LEGAL' which is '+ nospace name nospace * nospace name'
Having delved into a variety of sites (e.g.
http://www.zytrax.com/tech/web/regex.htm#search) investigating regular
expressions I now have a basic grasp, but I am having difficulties removing
ALL of the instances or 1. or 2.
The code below removes just a SINGLE instance of the target string, but I
was expecting it to remove all instances as I have \\*.[[allnu...

Adding extra fields from an external source
....g. flat file or MySQL table. I would like to pull everything
else from LDAP but just fill out quota_rule from a different source.
I realize I could expand my LDAP but I'm wary of just importing some
random schema. I've had mixed results doing that in the past (the qmail
schema (http://www.zytrax.com/books/ldap/ape/qmail.html) was
incompatible with my existing structure, and at the moment I'm using a
hacked version of the linux quota project's LDAP schema
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxquota/) - I'd rather have
something a bit more official). If there is a recommended sch...

Of course, we need to put it inside square brackets to negate the

But this is not what I want either.
I'd appreciate any help. I assume this is rather easy and
straightforward.
Thanks,

Codecs and bandwidth
...shed some light on if possible - how is it that a
single ISDN conversation only uses 64K for bidirectional communication
(using ulaw, correct?), but on several occasions now have seen
references to ulaw voip conversations using 64K per side of the
conversation, plus packet overhead
(http://www.zytrax.com/tech/protocols/voip_rates.htm - seems to be down
now - plus other references) for a total of over 128K per ulaw 'full
duplex' voice conversation?
Thanks

I did get tcps running in the meantime following:

Determining Browser?
Is there a way I can read the user agent or something similar to
determine whether the person is using IE, Mozilla/Netscape, Opera,
Safari, etc? I want to dynamically output the CSS to the browser, but
I''d like to change certain things (in this case the widths of some
divs since IE adds borders and padding size to the total size of a div
unlike firefox).
Thanks,

DNS Zone serial numbers
Hi folks,
Trying to create a function backed by some templates that will create DNS
zone files. The function is in the form of
function forward_zone ($dns_zone => "localdomain", $hosts => { {
host=>"localhost", ip_addr=>"127.0.0.1" } }}) {
.... logic here....
}
and the template will include the zone delegation record. What I''m trying

simple DNS question - reverse nslookup fails.
Hello all,
I am trying to configure a subdomain DNS server on a Cent OS 5.1 - for
my lab. Brief configuration:
Lab machine ---> 192.168.17.2 (should respond to DNS queries from
hosts in 192.168.16.0/20 network)

to our corporate domain (no firewalls between our 192.168.16.x network
and the corporate network. The domain

Currently I am able to do:

This displays the url string of the link, which is exactly what I need
to work with. However, when I try:
Event.element(el).match(//);
I get a javascript error "selector.match is not a function". I

Im looking to config a BDC server for the high traffic supported inside the

OpenLdap and Im very lost. Looking for internet I found howtos for PDCs
server but not for BDC. Anyone can help me more? Im making a clean install
and I don't know how to create same users than PDC for samba and how to make

winbind seems to hang when the DC goes down instead of switching to the other available DC
Hai Marco,
Yes, best is to use the "localhost" dns setup as caching/forwarder only.
All you need is for the forwarding is :
zone "your.dnsdomain.tld" {
type forward;
forwarders { IP_DC1; IP_DC2; };
};
zone "168.192.in-addr.arpa" {
type forward;
forwarders { IP_DC1; IP_DC2; };
};
If you think its still to slow, remove

you should know what you are doing. Check what is added to your LDAP
and you'll be fine.

LDAP schema for dovecot proxy?
Hello,
I want to deploy dovecot proxy/director with the backend and
authorization in LDAP. Dovecot wiki specifies only what is necessary
to apply additional arguments that the scheme would have earned a
proxy, but no solid LDAP schema.
Is there such a scheme, such as the existing scheme

BIND: listen-on and allow-recursion
Hi,
I'm currently trying to get a grasp on DNS and Bind. I admit the
documentation is quite confusing, either too laconic or way too
detailed. So I'm trying to start from a working example, and then bite
my way through it.
I have a sample named.conf file from Carla Schroder's Linux Cookbook. In
the opening global options, I have this :
listen-on {
127.0.0.1;
10.11.12.1;
};
