Help for numericDeriv function
...ot;a" is a character. Do you have any idea about how to use the
character value "l11*l21+l12*l12" assigned to object "a" within the
numericDeriv function. So, I can get the same result as above without
manipulating the expression in quote() manually.

Estimating IRT models by using nlme() function
...one who have an idea what I am doing wrong? Is there any error
in the syntax? I never used nlme package before, so I might be missing some
components in the code. Or, is this just estimation problem and nlme() can
not fit this model for some reason?
I would appreciate any help.
