systemd-networkd issue
Okay sorry about that. No Idea if it will work in CentOS, but is it worth trying to turn off ipv6 for a single nic as as outlined at https://coreos.com/os/docs/latest/network-config-with-networkd.html ? systemd-networkd issue
Hi, If I disable ipv6 via the kernel command line, ipv6.disable=1, then systemd-networkd fails to bring up any interfaces. Removing the option and networking works as expected. Phil.

selinux and tinydns
Hi all, tinydns starts up fine, selinux reports no issues (now after a day of clearing errors). If I turn selinux back to permissive in /etc/sysconfig/selinux, and reboot, tinydns responds to queries. If I turn selinux back to enforcing and reboot, tinydns does not respond. Monitoring /var/log/messages shows no errors from iptables/shorewall or selinux. The only way I can find an error is

GUID Partition Tables and Ext3 Partition Size
Hello, Does CentOS 5.4 support large ( > 2 TB) external storage devices using GPT (GUID Partition Tables), while the main OS resides on smaller hard disks using MBR. In this scenario, what can be the largest possible size of an ext3 partition (and filesystem) which can be created on the storage array under CentOS 5.4 ? Thanks, Manish

making a new initrd
Hi, I built a new kernel for C7 that contains the required driver for a new motherboard we have here. I'd like to take this initramfs and rebuild it/modify it so that it is suitable for pxe booting. I have tried dracut -v --force --add "anaconda" initramfs.img # results in an image that is too large for tftp Or dracut --nofscks --nomdadmconf --nolvmconf --xz

C stack usage is too close to the limit
I am getting a seg fault and the following error when trying to use an embedded version of R in a multithreaded application. Error: C stack usage is too close to the limit When I do the same thing in a single threaded app, then there is no problem. I've tried this with R version 2.3.0, 2.3.1 and even 2.2.1 and the same error occurs. Any tips on how to solve this would be greatly

HW issue during instalaltion
Hi All, I have a shuttle SN78SH7 with a Seagate ST31500341AS (1.5Tb) drive. With windows Vista it sees the drive and can install to it. So far with GRML or CentOS5.2 they do not seem to be able to see this drive. Is there a particular setting I need or does CentOS not support installation to these drives yet ? Thanks for your help Phil

LVM issue
Hi We use AoE disks for some of our systems. Currently, a 15.65Tb filesystem we have is full, I then extended the LVM by a further 4Tb but resize4fs could not handle a filesystem over 16Tb (CentOS 5.5). I then reduced the lvm by the same amount, and attempted to create a new LV, but get this error message in the process lvcreate -v -ndata2 -L2T -t aoe Test mode: Metadata will NOT be updated.

kernel bug fixed in later kernels
Does anyone know if this is going to be fixed in CentOS ? // test case code below // expected behaviour is "all good" and a return code of zero. // this works on 2.6.35-1 // does not work on 2.6.18-194.17.4.el5 from Centos 5.5 // think this bug was fixed in git commit 8948e11f450e6189a79e47d6051c3d5a0b98e3f3 // around 2.6.22 // http://www.mail-archive.com/git-commits-head at
