timezones not properly reflected on timestamps of files
...es. Once mounted the files all have local timestamps
which makes syncing impossible. Further, if a file is written from the

local server.

Daylight saving
Hello there,
I have a samba PDC 3.0.0 running ok, but I had turned on the option "Time
Server" in smb.conf, to synchronize the workstations time with server. But
the workstations synchronize 1 hour less than it is. I think that the
workstations isn?t considering the daylight saving time.
I?m using the command: net time \\server /set /yes
Thank?s,

guestfish zerofree on LVM ?
Hi-
Is it safe to use the zerofree utility on an ext4 partition inside an LVM
with guestfish? I know zerofree works on ext4, but I am unsure about LVM.
The info page uses the syntax "zerofree <device>", so using the info page
example, could I (safely) do something like the following?
$ guestfish

If I understand the zic(8) man page, the files in /usr/share/zoneinfo
should contain this information, but I don't know how to extract it,
since these are compiled files. And since on my system /etc/localtime
is a copy of one of these compiled files, I don't know of any other way
to recover the location name with...

Dom0 <> DomU clock sync
Hello !
Just a quick question about time synchronization between xen dom0 and
domUs...
We''re running Xen 3.1 64-bit, with 32 and 64 bits linux guests.
It''s up since 89 days and the domU''s time is around 5 minutes behind the
dom0,
which is updated via ntpdate...
Any idea why it doesn''t sync the guests even that
/proc/sys/xen/independent_wallclock is 0 ?

I've found another busybox bug.
The "/bin/sh" utility is provided by busybox as well (via the usual symlinking).
Per POSIX, if
execvp(file, { argv[0], argv[1], ..., NULL })

build time with a default depending on how far down the slope I judge
them to be.
