Due to some issues with solaris ufsdump and ufsrestore, stuff was not
quite put back properly. We do have the original working smb.conf, and
binaries.
Our file server's netbios name is sporadics. Our NT domain has a PDC
named zeus and a BDC named zeus2. Our test client running linux redhat
is named dali.
After the restore from tape, we went to the PDC, server manager, and
deleted sporadics. We then went to sporadics and issued the following
command:
> smbpasswd -j olympus -r zeus -U administrator

Joined domain OLYMPUS.

Strange ups.load and battery.temperature with an APC Back-UPS RS 800 (NUT v2.2.2)
...ormal except battery.temperature and
ups.load.
?Any clue why it's showing this values? With an older version off nut,
ups.load showed always 0.
Anyways, connecting the UPS to windows, I see the correct load value
reported.

[Bug 2583] New: rsync fails with "authentication failure"
...y several orders of magnitude. These errors *only* happen on the
"pubupload" module, and even then not consistently (fortunately.)
The command used on the client host is:
rsync -rlHtSpq --delete --timeout=3600 --exclude /mirrors/ --exclude lost+found/
--exclude '.#*' /pub/ korg@zeus2.kernel.org::pubupload/
Please contact me directly for a copy of the rsyncd.conf file, since I do not
want to post it publically.

Help with centos 7, samba, windows ACLs
Hi,
i have a small server with centos 7 samba 4.8.3
done domain provision, joined some windows 10 PCs and i'm happy
i prefer manage it from RSAT and i created a lot of policy, and all seem
fine!
main problem is how to set ACL on User folders, i'm unable to set share
permissions from Windows on samba users share, when appy changes i
receive an error like permission denied.
