...e to give me a brief description before I plunge into the Dublin Core specs? For the record, I'm an obsessive kitchen sink type who would like to be able to drop in a packet near the start of the stream containing all kinds of useless information. I recently made the mistake of buying the Led Zeppelin BBC sessions and spent an evening entering in presenters, broadcast and recording dates, shows, and locations. I haven't put in the song- writing and sample credits yet, partially because of the abuse of the comment headers that would be required. -- imalone

Determining length of speex file speech
...out with speex_header->frame_size). Why does my algorithm for calculating the length of the speech in a speex file not work? How is the number of ogg _packets_ per ogg _frame_ set by the encoder (commandline, file-based)? Ciao, Bj?rn -- Q: What's the difference betweeen USL and the Graf Zeppelin? can't add machine to domain after samba update
Hi all. We have big problem with adding new machine to our domain. 2 weeks ago we upgrade our machine to Debian 4 (etch). Than we automatic update our samba to version 3.0.24 (from debian package). We use LDAP backend for samba. When we try add Windows XP or Windows 2000 to our domain, we got this error message on client: Security database is corrupted. On server we have in log file log.smbd

Replication status
I remember last year we discussed Dovecot replication a bit on this list, e.g. http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2008-May/030446.html . Has there been any development related to this, and can I help at all? The more I think about the hacks I'm employing to synchronize mail, the more I realize I want this. So hopefully I can put either some money or some time where my mouth is. --

GSSAPI and virtual Users?
Hi, is there a possibility to map login-names to allowed Kerberos-Principals? At the moment GSSAPI-authentication seems to work only if loginname and kerberos-principal are the same, or am I missing something? It would be really great to use GSSAPI-auth with virtual users. Thanks a lot! S. Thias

A Tribute to my Great Grandmother (Off Topic)
...very popular. They even had a chain! She only cooked, in my memory, a few times, thought, before she was too old. What she did cook, however, as simple as it may have been, was incredible. I remember one thing that always stuck in my head. She once told me a secret. Her favorite band was Led Zeppelin. At the time, I wasn't as big a fan as I am today, but I was a fan, nonetheless, and I knew all about them. And it shocked me, because whenever I saw her, if she was playing music, it was classical or Klezmer! She was an example, and still is an example, to all who live. You should never fi...

Lost most data on Windows XP machine switching to domain
I'm wondering if anyone has run across that and MUCH more importantly, if the data can be recovered somehow. I'll put as much details as I can at the bottom but here's the gist of the problem: I added my wives computer (which contains 8 years worth of pictures) to the domain. When I logged into the new domain account it was empty and my wives domain users had no access so I did the
