Questions about reverse zone
Hi Guys,
I've two DC (Zentyal Samba 4.7.6) and put new DC (Centos 7, Samba
4.7.6) with additional domain controller and works fine. My question is
about reverse zone. The original DC (zentyal1 and zentyal2) have a reverse
registres

Testing samba4 connection on Windows
...d samba4 (zentyal 3.4) and I followed the Samba4 AD DC Howto
from the wiki to test the linux-side. There all seems OK.
Unfortunately, when I try to register a Win7 PC, the domain is not
found. So what can I do to test things on the Windows-side ?
I did :
C:\net view /domain:ace_domain
returns :
\\ZENTYAL1
which is my DC
After manually "mounting" the test1-share :
C:\net view \\zentyal1
returns
sysvol disk
test1 disk test-share
C:\nbtstat -A 192.168.200.13
192.168.200.13 is my DC, this returns
LAN-connection

I can't join to an existing domain (yet)
People:
I have not solved my problem. I have only one DC with Zentyal 3.4 and I
want to change it by samba 4.1.16. That's why if I can't join the samba
to the existing domain I would not do anything else.
The samba server error is this:
(Command from samba)
samba-tool domain join dtcf.etecsa.cu DC -U administrator
--realm=DTCF.ETECSA.CU --dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ

Dynamic dns updates fail for (most) xp, vista and win7 clients
...ldb "DC=wxp1,DC=Kernevil.lan,CN=MicrosoftDNS,DC=Kernevil,DC=lan"
It doesn't work I don't find any entries for the affected workstations + they were not added to the domain with beta versions of samba.
I'm running Zentyal which is a version of ubuntu 12.4, samba package 4.0.4-zentyal1.
Have posted a question to there formum (with no success here) http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,14152.0.html
Any help appreciated - this is infuriating.
