Just stop it with the "Domain Admins" nonsense
Its littered throughout the docs eg.. https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_a_Share_Using_Windows_ACLs At best its *poor practice* which should not be frowned upon, but it just shows a real disconnect with real world users and systems, where admins are not "Domain Admins".

Windows clients keep losing connections (FQDN and hostname)
Connecting to \\server.domain.xx.uk\share and \\server\share, works but we tend to lose "\\server\share" within a few days, *but starts working again*. \\FQDN\share eventually stops, with windows reporting "network path not found". If I do a "net use" I can see several connections to \\fqdn\share, and running "net use * /delete", brings back the the ability

vfs_recycle. Behaviour on modifing a file.
We have a samba share that is not used very much and when it is the files are not be modified very often. The share will hold sensative information and it is vital we can see what information the file contained for auditing purposes. I am not sure of the behaviour of the recycle bin when the contents of an existing file are modified. I am told that modifing a file actually deletes the original
