vm in qcow2 runs on host A but not on host B
hello, a vm in format qcow2 on host A (Intel Xeon CPU E5-1650 v4) do not start on host B ( Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz ) i get on host B by starting the vm "trap errors" Opcode. anyone here has an idea how to solve this? kind regards marko -- zbfmail - Mittendrin statt nur Datei! create virtual network fails with virt-manager

Windows, qemu.agent is it possible to shut down services in running windows server?
...an online backup of an windows server. Now my question is, is it possible to execute commands on the windows server via qemu-agent? I want to shutdown the MSSQL Service before doing backups. Cache / IO Setting for qcow2 disks with prealloc=metadata?
...his the best setting? Or do i choose "native" IO on prealloc=metadata created disks? And do i have to change Cache too? auth-worker problem here.
...forwarded to name at domainn.tld. The tip above tells me when using dovecot lda the virtual_alias_maps is ignored by dovecot. now when i send a mail to postmaster at domainn.tld the mail is not transported to name at domainn.tld. in logfile i see this: dovecot: auth-worker: sql(postmaster at zbfmail.de): Unknown user how can i tell dovecot to also use the virtual_alias_maps? thank you marko

hello list, i have a running vm with win7. When i fire up an 'virsh shutdown win7' nothing happens. When i fire up a second the same command, then the win7 machine is shutting down. Why do i need to fire up this command twice? Any ideas? best regards marko --

Help needed on a gentoo system after update to libvirtd 3.1.0
....1 as address, and is reachable via ping from vm guest. but it cant resolve hostnames and cant ping ip´s outside the virtualisation host. anyone knows this effect after update? do i have to change some more things? or is this a bug? any help and hints are welcome thank you marko weber -- zbfmail - Mittendrin statt nur Datei! Hello list, i updated on a gentoo system from libvirtd 2.5 to 3.1.0 Now my windows machines cant access internet.
