GrandStream GSX-2000 strangeness
I have a really baffling problem.
A couple of months ago I purchased a pair of GrandStream GSX-2000 phones for
use with Asterisk.
At first all was well. But recently I've noticed terrible sound quality
problems. Basically the sound will "glitch" or stutter randomly from time to
time.
Now, what is interesting is that this happens even with the phone totally
disconnected from any

Obtaining Cisco Firmware painlessly?
Hi Everyone!,
I'm not sure if my previous request went through or not...It got
returned as not-deliverable??? Who knows!
Anyway, I need to get hold of the Cisco Firmware to upgrade a 7910G to
sip.
I know it can be a real pain in the butt getting hold of the firmware,
so any help in obtaining it relatively fast and painlessly would be much
appreciated.
Cheers
M.

Grandstream phones losing registration with server.

NAT is not an issue as all including the server have public IP's
The problem is that the phones keep losing registration with the server.
I have not timed this exactly to see if they drop off with exactly the
same frequency.
The SIP TRUNK connection to my provider SIPGATE does not lose
registration, and

Pickup other ringing phone
Hi everyone,
Is there a simple way of answering a different ringing extension from a
sip phone using AAH?
I have absolutely zero technical know-how when it comes to modifying
conf files etc. Still working on figuring it all out. ;)
That brings me to my second question... where the hell does one find an
extensive manual of sorts that explains all conf files and what the
strings all mean etc?

IP PHONE iareaphone x100, tested??
Hi,
I have used the Budgetone 102's extensively on Asterisk and found then
quite reliable as long as you update the firmware.
The GXP2000 is quite a mess at the moment as the current firmware does
not support 3 quarters of the advertised functions and codec support is
extremely limited. I have tested the unreleased latest firmware update
for the GXP2000 and it's an incredible difference
