boot... round 2
...ain why gcc versions are decisive for success. For that we'd need to find some code of undefined behavior, where the compiler would be free to produce different outcome. hpa wrote: > I think I see the problem. "char" should be "unsigned char"... Well, "char" zapps the characters above (unsigned char) 127. But why does the gcc version have an influence ? (C does not specify the signedness of char, but i never saw a compiler which represented char other than as signed char.) Have a nice day :) Thomas

Refresh Ices 0.4.?
Hello! How can I refresh ices 0.4.? If the playlist has changed, I want to load it into the ices at a definied time. I read I can do it with: kill -SIGHUP <icespid> But this don't work! :( Alternativ I can stop the ices and restart it, but at this moment, the listeners lose the source-connection and have manualy to reconnect. boot... round 2
To remind you once again. ISOLINUX >= 6.00 built with GCC >= 5.0.0 causes a broken boot. This relates specifically to the use of the vesamenu.c32, menu.c32 works without problemos. This "code" is already in 6.03, therefore this is not a fix for it! Revert "SYSAPPEND: Fix space stripping" This reverts commit 3106dcd http://repo.or.cz/w/syslinux.git/commit/3106dcd Fixes

LV Stuck Open
We are running Xen with Debian Squeeze and have noticed on about 3-4 occasions int he past few months that a VM require a hard reboot(destroy) would become un-bootable. I believe we have identified the cause as the logical volume being stuck open. I''m looking at one right now(the VM has been booted on another hypervisor) and the device mapper open count is 1 for both the main disk and

Windows NLB crashing VM's
Hi All, We have a somewhat serious issue around NLB on Windows 2012 and Xen. First, let me describe our environment and then I''ll let you know what''s wrong. 2 X Debian-squeeze boxes running the latest provided AMD64 Xen kernel and about 100GB of RAM. These boxes are connected via infiniband and DRBD is running over this(IPoIB). Each VPS runs on a mirrored DRBD devices. Each
