Trouble joining Windows 7 machines to Samba PDC
...tput of testparm, and a debug log at
level 5 from one of the clients. The only thing particularly notable in
the NetSetup output is:
NetpSetNetlogonDomainCache: DsEnumerateDomainTrustsW for all trusts failed
with ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED -- retry
Any hints?

7.1 new install halts on BTX error

Any thoughts or suggestions? I will stay on 7.0 for now but have a fairly
large supply of spare drives so I can test new installs if required.

Samba3 and admin users
Hi to all,
We did an upgrade of samba.
Now, we use samba3.
Previously, the smb.conf was configured like that:
[global]
...
admin users = @somepeople
...
This would not be possible with samba3.
How to solve this problem ?

possible to use samba without unix accounts for each user?
We use samba as a domain controller and file server for small separate network environments. We've currently got samba configured to get posixAccount and sambaAccount information from ldap -- and have nss_ldap configured to feed the same posixaccount objects into the posix user account apis via nsswitch.conf (getpwent etc...).

classicupgrade from LDAP - failed to find Unix account for machine account

Any suggestions? I am particularly curious as to why the add machine
script doesn't appear to be doing anything for Windows machines joined to
the domain, and why the classicupgrade script is trying to look for user
account details for machine accounts.

can not wake on lan after halt -p (or shutdown -p now) on releng_7 and releng_7_0
Hello list
I have a shutdown problem. I have a machine with gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R
motherboard. Integrated network card is Realtek 8111B.
I can not wake the computer after I shutdown it from FreeBSD.
It is a dualboot system - windows xp and freebsd. If I shutdown the
computer from windows - later I can wake it up with magic packet. Even
if i shutdown the machine on the boot menu with the power
