The log file is 0 byte long.
I cannot find the error without a logfile.
A ssh-connection with the same user and password is o.k.
A connection from this computer to an other SAMBA-server is o.k.
The test of the configuration with the program "testparm" is o.k.
Thanks for yuor help.

Win2k(IIS5) + Samba weirdness
Hi all;
I don't know if this is a specificly a Samba problem, so appologies if
this is a little OT. Anyhow, I have a Windows 2000 Server (SP2) running
IIS5 hosting a number of web sites. The content itself is housed on a
RH 7.1 Linux box running Samba 2.2.2, which Windows mounts.
Now, occasionly when going anywhere beneath the root of a web site
IIS reports a 404 error (NTFileMon

for ( i in 23:0 ) { V <- vector [ 1 : i ] }
I'm used to run that on Matlab
>> for indice=1:23,
V=vector(1:indice)
end
that give me 23 vectors as output.
Why the same command on R " for ( i in 23:0 )
{ V <- vector [ 1 : i ] } "
returns one only vector?
How can I obtain the 23 vectors that I need ?
Thank you.

I have successfully, by now, installed a samba server. I can log on from win98 and 95

There are a couple of shares

I can browse the share and a user, "Mats", can read and write copy and so on in
/home/Mats, so obviously the server recognizes the user as the Linux user with the

Problem in code tracing (reply)

Yuor reply :
Look in source/smbd/vfs.c. You get the default
vfs_ops
struct unless overridden in the service definition
(i.e.
vfs_init_custom() ).
---------------------------------->Thank you for the
suggestions.
Regarding the first one, I traced the function pointer

Well, I run a local NTP server, so it's as fast plus has the correct time at the end :)...

Optim function in the loop
Hi all,
I wrote the following lines of codes try to do some iterations to find the
global optimal values, but the function does not execute properly. Every
time codes stop after one iteration right after executing the optim()
function. Does anyone could have me to take a look? Thanks.

Echo SIP-T100P-PRI
I'm experience echo on outgoing calls:
Snom 200 ----> Asterisk ----> T100P ----> PRI ----> called party
I am getting echo on the Snom 200 phone. The called party does not
hear the echo.
Since the PRI is digital, I don't really understand where the
echo is coming from.
I turned on echotraining, echocancellation=yes (128), and echowhenbridged
in zapata.conf, to no avail.

ADS mode / MIT realm trust problem (3.0.20b)
Hi,
A final repost of the below issue -- we still are not making any
progress. It is unclear whether we need to be using winbind -- I don't
believe so, and the Terpstra Samba 3 book doesn't suggest that this is
necessary in this configuration; but please correct me if my
preconception is flawed.
If this is the 'wrong place' to ask -- any suggestions about where I
