Hi, I've got a HP 380 G2 which is running RHEL AS 3 Taroon update 1. The current smp kernel 2.4.21-9smp is booting with a HPinitrd image. Mostlikely generated with the HP proliant Service Pack for RHEL 3. Now if I migrate this system to CentOS 3 and a new kernel will be installed ,will that work ? Does the new centOS kernel use the same config as the current RHEL kernel ? Anyone done this

Hi Is it possible to swap the yum.conf from my centos box onto my whitebox box and have the whitebox machine use centos updates through yum? CentOS seems further ahead and far quicker at roll outs than whitebox? thanks

Hi all, I'd like to try rolling a somewhat stripped down and customized CentOS DVD. This is particularly interesting to me now that CentOS 5.5 is 2 DVDs. I dare not call it a new distro as I suspect I will be the only one to use it. ;) I've been googling for ways to do this, figuring it must be somewhat straight forward, but my google-fu is weak it seems. Can someone point me
