Internal DNS migrate to Bind9_DLZ
@Rowland,
The application can export in multiple file formats, ldif as well.
Would you like a sample of the entire domain or only the schema or any specific?
Okay, now I'm with you, I am aware of how to update samba.
We have been updating Samba the normal way using the repository. We have been doing updates as should from version 4 moving up slowly to version 4.9.4, not all in a go but

Setup a Samba AD DC as an additional DC

Stop systemd-resolved from managing /etc/resolv.conf (in fact, stop
systemd-resolved)
Then create a new /etc/resolv.conf:
search YOUR_DNS_DOMAIN
nameserver AN_EXISTING_AD_DC
Once the DC is joined, change the 'nameserver' line to point the new
DC's ipaddress i.e. itself

kerberos nfs4's principals and root access
Thanks you very much Louis !
I have tried your setup and I can't mount the share neither from the
server itself or the client.
On /var/log/syslog I have :
rpc.gssd : ERROR : no credentials found for connecting to server myserver
This is because the machine principal is not present in the keytab :
$ klist -k
1 nfs/myclient.samdom.com at SAMDOM.COM
1 nfs/myclient.samdom.com at SAMDOM.COM

Setup a Samba AD DC as an additional DC
which samba version, because i've een reports the 4.8 fails and 4.7 fails but 4.6 should work, and i dont know about 4.9.2
Can you show your /etc/hosts file and /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/krb5.conf
You used :
samba-tool domain join mydomain.com DC -U"MYDOMAIN\administrator" --dns-backend=SAMBA_INTERNAL --option="interfaces=ens2f0"
not wrong, but can you try.

kerberos nfs4's principals and root access
Hello samba team !
I have some NFS4 exports managed by a Samba's Kerberos realm. All the
standard user accesses work fine.
I try now to setup an NFS4 root access to administer the share from
another server (the two host are DC, one PDC and one SDC). But I have
trouble understanding the kerberos/principals layer.

Actually I do
